How I Got Multiple Remote Job Offers Without Relying on Job Boards
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is struggling with remote job hunting. A few months ago, I was frustrated. I kept applying, but nothing worked. No offers, barely any interviews.
So I changed my approach, and it actually worked.
A bit about me
I’m a software engineer. I’ve been working full-time for years, and a few months ago, I started looking for a part-time remote job. At first, it was casual, but due to personal stuff, it became more urgent.
Like many people, I started with LinkedIn and even paid for Premium. I applied to many jobs, got a few interviews, but no solid results. After five months, I felt stuck and knew I needed a different method.
Step 1: Europe - Google Maps + Manual Outreach
I searched for recruitment agencies in Europe using Google Maps. I zoomed into countries like the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands and typed "recruitment." Tons of agencies popped up, and many had websites with resume upload options.
I created an Excel list of over 450 agencies across Europe and sent my resume to each of them. It took two days, but it worked.
I also prepared two versions of my resume, one with a photo for Europe and one without for the US and Canada.
Step 2: US and Canada - Resume Tool
For companies in the US and Canada, I used this tool that helps you build a professional resume and send it to hundreds of companies at once. It targets both HR departments and recruitment firms.
I sent my no-photo resume to over 370 companies in a single click. The tool also gave me tips for writing each section, which made the whole process easier. Rabbit Resume Builder also includes an ATS-Hack feature. This tool embeds relevant but invisible keywords into your resume, helping it pass automated filters without affecting the layout or readability. The result is a resume optimized for both ATS systems and human reviewers.
The Results
Soon after, I started getting responses. I had interviews and received four job offers. I accepted two remote part-time jobs. One is three hours a day, the other is two.
I also kept my full-time job. At first, managing everything was tough, but I found a rhythm. Now, I have more income and more stability.

Remote Jobs: The Remote Job Search Hack You’ve Never Heard Of
Remote Job Search Hacks: Ever since the pandemic, remote work has shifted from a niche perk to a global standard. Millions of professionals have either transitioned to working from home or started actively searching for remote opportunities. But here's the truth: finding a legitimate remote job isn't always easy. With endless applications, no responses, and intense competition, the process can quickly become overwhelming. So, is there a smarter and faster way to land a remote role?
In this article, we're sharing a powerful remote job search hack that most people have never heard of, and it's changing the game for job seekers around the world.
Get Hired Remotely Without Even Applying
A Reddit user recently shared a unique strategy that helped them receive multiple remote job offers, and it quickly gained traction across the platform. Instead of applying to individual job listings one by one, they sent their resume directly to hundreds of recruitment agencies and headhunting firms around the world. The idea was simple: let the recruiters come to you.
Soon after, recruiters began reaching out with roles that matched the user's skills and job title. By the end of the process, they had received several remote job offers without going through the usual grind of endless applications. After the post gained popularity, many others tried the same method and reported similar results over time. You can check the full Reddit post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RemoteJobseekers/comments/1fdpeg2/how_i_landed_multiple_remote_job_offers_my_remote/
When using this strategy of sending your resume to recruitment firms, you have two options: do it manually or use an automated system. Some people prefer the manual approach, while others take advantage of the Rabbit Resume Builder's Boost feature, which automatically sends your resume to over 300 recruitment agencies with just one click. This feature makes it easy for recruiters to find and contact you quickly, helping you get your resume in front of the right people faster, so you can start receiving offers sooner.
That said, if you choose to send your resume manually, we strongly recommend ensuring it’s ATS-friendly. Automated systems will scan your resume before it reaches a recruiter’s database. Without this, your resume may not make it past the initial screening, and you could miss out on valuable opportunities.
If you’re using RabbitResume to create your resume, you won’t have to worry about ATS compatibility. That’s because not only will you be using ATS-friendly resume templates, but the platform also includes an ATS-Hack feature. This feature scans sections of your resume, like skills, work experience, and job titles, and, with the help of AI, generates relevant keywords. These keywords are then added invisibly to your resume. This ensures that your resume ranks higher in ATS scans, increasing your chances of being noticed by recruiters.
By embracing this innovative approach, you can streamline your remote job search, enhance your visibility, and accelerate your journey to landing the perfect remote role.

As someone who almost got got by a job listing scam, here are some friendly reminders:
1. The job interview will not take place over a chat platform, these people want to hear your voice and see your face. Zoom interviews are fine here but still be wary.
2. Call the goddamn business that’s hiring you to verify the job listing. Even if it’s a front desk person, they’ll likely be able to tell you if it’s a scam that they’ve been made aware of.
3. Don’t accept any money from anyone, and don’t pay them money to apply. There is no reason money should be changing hands before you’ve 1) met in person, 2) signed the onboarding paperwork, and 3) did some work.
“But Roni you’re so smart! How did you fall into this trap?” Simple panic, my friends! I’ve been in Hyper Anxiety Mode since the middle of September! I’m losing my job this month! As strange as it is, I’ve never been on unemployment before and being jobless makes me feel like a waste of space! (This is not to be indicative of anyone else facing joblessness. I’m simply saying that because it’s Me it’s Different because I’m worth less than the average man.) (Nobody is hiring social media managers in Nebraska rn that want my qualifications.) (and if I wanted to leave the state I’d just move to Las Vegas with the company and try to live off my pittance there.)
So if you have further tips, please share. I know plenty of people getting laid off and walking away from bad jobs right now, but don’t let that desperation turn you into a fool.
#text post#job search#okay to reblog#maybe my boss can be convinced to keep me remote since like I’m not gonna be on camera anymore lmaoooooooo#not holding out for it tho so I’m gonna be jobless by Halloween

hot take: if an office/remote job requires mostly email communication, the interview questions should be written. There should also be a sample email that you have to write a response to, and something that tests your ability to draft an initial email about something related to whatever the job is about.
if you really need telephone skills as well, then there should be a mock call that is similar to the calls you'd have to make on the job, e.g. you are given a document to read beforehand and have to answer some questions about the content of the document on the call. No more of this "tell me about a time when you...." bullshit, just assessing things that are Directly Related To The Job, Please For The Love of God
#job search#is truly hell right now#I'm writing this as both a job seeker and someone who was involved in hiring by the way#this type of interview would be 10 times more effective than a regular interview for every office or remote job I've had#I'm sure if you do coding or something there would be other steps but I still think it should be directly applicable to the daily work#who care about whether you can memorize leetcode just take a couple days to actually make changes to a repository and merge the pull request#also I realize that chatgpt could be an issue for written questions#but we have test taking software that locks down your computer and has the camera on so you can't use your phone#so why not repurpose that for job screening#.....anyway rant over lol I'm just very frustrated#nem speaks

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're looking for a job right now, here are the things to keep in mind (this is US centric only):
the market is really bad right now, and super competitive. If you're not hearing back, the problem isn't necessarily you.
on that note, if you're not hearing back at all, even once in a while consider redoing your resume and cover letter. you don't have to tailor it to every job post, but it does have to be relevant to each one.
most of the posts and videos about remote jobs that are hiring right now are fake. the few that aren't disappear really fast because so many people apply, so if you're not one of the first 10 people to see it and go to apply immediately, it's most likely gone if it existed at all.
the other thing is that a lot of those jobs do require experience and very few of them are entry level, they will require tests and assessments, and most don't offer more than $15.
use chat gpt to grade and make suggestions to your resume and cover letter, do not just have it write it and submit it. do read it over to make sure it didn't add fake information or make something up that's not relevant.
make sure to research certificates and classes and bootcamps for authenticity and actual need in the field, certain popular fields like product management, UX, and cyber security are over saturated and hard to get into, if not impossible, at entry level.
look into local resources in your town, like the library, to see if they have any job search programs. local facebook groups are great too to find part-time jobs and gigs that pay better than app gigs. or even just a community of other job seekers for emotional and job search support.
Things like doordash and other app delivery jobs are hard to do unless you're willing to drive long distances and be paid very little money for it. Consider wear and tear on your car, milage, and gas money before you jump into it. Also you need to set money aside for taxes.
If anyone has anything else to add, please do so.

I am so close to getting this part time remote transcription job and I am trying not to get excited yet. I have been burned so many times before where I put all this work in for interviews and then been told no. So yeah. Fingers crossed.

Please help me find any remote work, I do not know any reputable places to go for remote work currently, I need to find some form of income at the moment, as I want to move out of my current living situation. I do not possess a vehicle at this time and there are no jobs in my vicinity that I could walk to. I have tried job searching locally but I have gotten nothing close to me and the jobs I have applied to have not reciprocated any of my applications. I feel I am at the end of my rope here and I need to get out of this house. If you know any reputable places to source remote jobs please let me know.

When it comes to finding work close to home, a local job search app is an indispensable tool. Gone are the days of sifting through newspaper classifieds or visiting numerous physical locations. Today, technology brings opportunities directly to your fingertips, making the job search process more efficient and convenient.

For those with organizational talents, numerous jobs receptionist job openings pop up regularly in local offices, clinics, and businesses. This type of platform is designed to make connecting with these specific roles much easier than traditional methods.
The convenience of a mobile app cannot be overstated. You can browse new job vacancies during your commute, apply directly from your phone during a coffee break, or set up alerts to be notified instantly when new opportunities arise in your desired area. This means you're always connected to the local job market, ensuring you don't miss out on timely openings. Anyone know where to find work as a freelance writer or voice actor?
Been trying everywhere, and the places I find are either no good (literally can not get any interest, or they rely 100% on "being discovered" rather than letting me actively seek work)
or worse
they demand I pay to be shown the job opportunities.
And of course the other legitimate places require degrees, paid certifications, certain amounts of experience (saw one place that required 2+ years of voice training...listed as Entry Level) and other things I can't do.
Any advice? Or better yet, any job offers?
